I looked under keyboards in device manager and there is no surface cover type listed. There are four HID keyboard devices listed. I looked at their properties and none of them seemed relevant and they were all working properly. Booting up to the UEFI shows a Type Cover listed there; I disabled, rebooted, and enabled it with no result. Surface Type Cover Filter Device update (v2.0.1193.0) enables full support for Japanese Surface Pro Type Covers. Surface Pen Settings driver update (v4.0.112.1) enables new functionality with the Surface app, available for free in the Windows Store. Important Note: - When Surface updates.
